I have gambled on countless of rounds of vingt-et-un. I started working my way into the gambling dens when I was 16. I have played online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. Given all that I have still spent a lot of bankroll at twenty-one. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the casino.
I still enjoy the game and wager on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a type of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get flush with this tactic or beat the casino, however you will experience an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the idea that vingt-et-un appears to be a game of streaks. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you’re not you are NOT!
I gamble with basic strategy twenty-one. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I bet the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I win I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the action back down to the original value.
I am very strict and never back out. It gets very enjoyable at times. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your bets go up very quickly. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Wynn a number of years ago with $750 after 60 minutes using this technique! And a couple of days ago in Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You must understand that you can squander a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be amazed at the runs you notice betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a $5 game.

Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the original $5 bet
Bet five dollar
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $10
Wager $10
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 10 dollar wager
Bet $10
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total bet of $20
Bet twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original twenty dollar bet
Bet twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Bet forty dollar
Take $40 paid to you, leave the first $40 bet
Wager forty dollar
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar
Wager 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the original 80 dollar wager
Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager 160 dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid to you, leave the first 1 hundred and 60 dollar wager
If you left at this instance you would be up 3 hundred and 15 dollars !!
It’s herculean to go on a streak this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your wager or the final result will not be the same.
